This shawl is woven with a hemp warp and a hand-spun cotton weft. Hand-spun cotton from Northern Thailand is the most common traditional material. Its rustic and uneven texture gives it a unique character and charm that is completely different from machine-spun cotton. It will become softer with use.. The blend of the two fibers creates a lightweight fabric with a dry, breathable touch and a soft drape.
The hand-spinning process produces subtle irregularities, giving the surface a natural texture. Suitable for warm and humid weather, the shawl offers comfortable wear throughout the season.
