KIBISO HEMP LIGHT / EBONY 75×220
This shawl is woven with a hemp warp dyed with light ebony and KIBISO silk, outermost layer of the cocoon. Known for its uneven thickness and textured surface, KIBISO yarn is reeled by hand using traditional methods in rural villages in Northern Thailand. The blend of the two fibers creates a lightweight fabric with a dry, breathable touch and a soft drape.The yarn is dyed in light ebony, using the traditional Thai technique of ebony dyeing.
The hand-spinning process produces subtle irregularities, giving the surface a natural texture. Suitable for warm and humid weather, the shawl offers comfortable wear throughout the season.
