This shawl is woven with a cotton and Eri Silk, Eri silk yarn is hand-spun from silkworms raised in the Thai countryside, giving it the characteristic uneven texture of hand-spun yarn and the soft feel of Eri silk.
Eri Silk harmonizes with the suppleness of cotton, creating a fabric with a distinctly slubbed, expressive texture.
The yarn is dyed exclusively with natural indigo and ebony. It features a dark navy color that is unique to natural dyes, with subtle hints of indigo and ebony., using no chemical agents. Our indigo dyeing process combines traditional Thai fermentation methods and Japanese indigo dyeing wisdom. Repeated layers of dyeing create this profound indigo shade.
