This handwoven textile is made from entirely from golden silk, a traditional Thai silk. Silkworms are raised and hand-reeled in rural Thailand. Carefully woven in our studio. Its matte sheen and uneven hand-reeled texture give it a primitive elegance.
The yarn is dyed exclusively with natural indigo, using no chemical agents. Our indigo dyeing process combines traditional Thai fermentation methods and Japanese indigo dyeing wisdom. Repeated layers of dyeing create this profound indigo shade.
