Hemp and KIBISO silk — two fibers, woven together into a single textile.
The warp is hemp, firm and resilient. The weft is KIBISO silk, the outermost layer of the cocoon, reeled by hand in Northern Thailand — uneven in thickness, quietly textured.
Both are dyed with tropical almond leaf. The hemp takes the color deeper; the silk holds it softly. The result is a surface that carries two shades of the same grey, shifting with the light.
